This past Monday I shot my first Runway Fashion Show and loved the entire experience. I didn't know what to expect and the only Runway Show I've ever done was back at the Art Institute when it was required to do a whole tape production for class. I did however made time to research and read forums on how best to set up my camera. Which also led to me buying a new lens for this shoot & for future shoots. I'm hoping to get involved in more fashion scenes, I really enjoy the atmosphere and the creative process. The clothing design, makeup and hair was done by the talented Jerry Rogers. I look forward to working with him in the future.

All the images for this shoot was shot on my Canon 7D/ Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 EX DG. Backstage was at ISO 400 / Runway ISO 2500 (NO FLASH on either).
Had another fabulous shoot with the beautiful model Laura McGhee & amazing MUA Jenna Materre, and luckily Jalon got to come along & helped with lighting & props.
It had to have been over 100 degrees, and poor Laura almost passed out. But thankfully the owner of the Torta / Mexican Bakery Store off Richmond Ave & Greenville, let us cool down inside & use his place to shoot some delicious pictures. I highly recommend visiting it's location, super cute & well worth the treats.

Got to work with the lovely Miss Laura McGhee, who is a natural in front of the camera. It's very refreshing to be able to photograph people who have that kind of talent. Plus I got to do another shoot with the amazing Makeup Artist Miss Jenna, who winged up her creativity by using Laura's Swimsuit as inspiration. I'm looking forward to our next shoot together which is this coming week. Busy never looked so good ;o) By the way, you can view the rest of the photos from this shoot under Assignments in my Gallery.

Special Thanks to: Jalon for letting us use her home & pool!
Today was my first "Makeup Artist" shoot, and I realized it's not easy to capture someones beauty. However, I love that I get to do something different and challenging. These are just 3 pictures out of the 290 that I took, and only 45 that I really really loved. I dig the simplicity of it, and I hope to have more in the future.
The Beautiful & Lovely work you see is by the Talented Makeup Artist: Jenna Materre
The Gorgeous Model who did a fabulous job is Alexia S.
