Had another fabulous shoot with the beautiful model Laura McGhee & amazing MUA Jenna Materre, and luckily Jalon got to come along & helped with lighting & props.

It had to have been over 100 degrees, and poor Laura almost passed out. But thankfully the owner of the Torta / Mexican Bakery Store off Richmond Ave & Greenville, let us cool down inside & use his place to shoot some delicious pictures. I highly recommend visiting it's location, super cute & well worth the treats.

To see the rest of the fashion shoot, check out my "Assignments" page under the Gallery Tab.

I find it interesting that I never took a photography class or an Art History course, but I don't use that as a crutch in what I do; instead, I use the internet & other peoples recommendations to educate myself in what I love. Lately my research has been through web videos and movies about great photographers that have opened my eyes.

I recently discovered, Allison V. Smith, a Dallas photographer whose work I deeply admire. Her style captures true light, depth, and color. It's so clean and unique that I used her work as inspiration for a project I worked on for a church.

I hope one day I'll get to meet her, and have the honor of spending a day with her at work.

Dear Downtown Dallas,

Has anyone told you how beautiful you are today? You've shared your secrets with me, from the best french toast in town to the most original shopping spots that pioneer new trends. You've welcomed the whole World into your ever changing life and manage to continue to grow in harmony, pleasing every single fan this Country has to offer. There's nothing you can not do, and you always know the right words to say that pushes every single local in town to be just as grand as you. Thank You for being Old, New, and Unique. You are a True Friend to Keep, Thank You for Loving Us So.

Sincerely,

In this past week, I've been to Mexico City, Dallas, & currently in Austin. This is my first Business trip and I've been very fortunate to be able to travel safely to all these southern corners. I miss my family at home, especially being able to wake up early in the morning in my own bed next to my Wonderful Boyfriend Joseph & our little Chihuahua Sirius. It's funny how when I was younger I always dreamed of traveling around the World, and now a little bit older, I find that my whole World is always right beside me, as wonderful as he can be.

I was too nervous to travel with my fancy camera, so these photos you see above are from my Old Point & Shoot Camera. I've been so busy working, I haven't been able to explore as much as I'd like. However, I'm hopping as things slow down a bit, I'll be able to take advantage of the beautiful city, outside of my lovely Hotel Room.

We Shall See ;o)
