I've been away from my blog for a little over 2 months, and during my disappearance I have welcomed another light in my life. Before I know it, I'll be seeing spots from standing beneath the spot light, but for now I'm enjoying the warmth.

During a series of creative events, I became aware that there are a lot of people who give themselves the title "Artist" but do not know or understand the value of it's meaning. I personally do not call myself an artist, nor do I care if I'll ever be called one. I'm skilled in my craft through passion & practice, that's just how I work.

In order to break away from the word artist, I came up with the word "Impulsentric" merging the words Impulse: (n) the influence of a particular feeling, mental state, a psychic drive or instinctual urge. With Eccentric: (n) a person who has an unusual, peculiar, or odd personality, set of beliefs, or behavior pattern. Making it now known as Impulsentric: (adj) the act of being creative on a whim. No planning, no thinking about it. Just the need of being artistic right then and there no matter how weird or how odd.

This became the driving force for my best friend of nearly eight years and I, to begin a daily photography project thus creating our own Impulsentric site. Everyday we upload a photo that we took from the previous day, and neither of us know what we're posting. This experiment is to merely see what common things we would or could capture even from a distance, plus providing creative elements on a daily bases. This was inspired by: minty forest & dont wiggle. Two group of friends who pioneered a new way of playing with their nifty cameras.

I'm constantly learning and I'm constantly being active. It's something I'm very proud of.
